after i killed my love for photography by working on a cruise ship; after my escape to the world of luxury super yachts, and after escaping back from that world; after I came back home again and worked on the next great (non-)american novel; after i sold all my photography gear and bought a panoramic 35mm film camera, I decided to live in morocco for a couple of months. i slowed down, took thought-through pictures and, naturally, broke the camera before I could see any photos it had captured. when I had these negatives developed and scanned, I knew I needed a new one. i was very lucky to get my money back on the broken one. then the new one came in and I kept traveling...slowly..thoughtfully...meraki way.
Meraki was the second potential name for my dream film production company.
